DANBURY, Conn. - After notching their first win of the season on Saturday against Castleton University, the Western Connecticut State University men's tennis team won their second straight match on Friday as they cruised to a 9-0 shutout win over visiting Mount Saint Mary at Westside Courts. 

Junior Adam Wolfe (Ridgefield, Conn.) and rookie Nicholas Peschier (Bridgeport, Conn.) picked up their first collegiate victories for the hosts who did not lose a single game in the entire match. 

"It was great for the guys to get the win today. Congrats to Nick and Adam for earning their first college victory. I'm very proud of their efforts," stated WCSU head coach Shawn Stillman following the action. 

With the victory, WestConn improved to 2-5 overall while Mount Saint Mary dropped to 0-3. The men will look to extend their win streak to three when they travel to LEC foe UMass Boston on Saturday.
