Box Score MILTON, Mass. - After a season opening loss on the road at SUNY Cobleskill earlier in the week, the Western Connecticut State University women's basketball team rebounded and utiilized a 22-4 fourth quarter run to down Fitchburg State, 62-47, in the Curry Tournament on Friday night at Katz Gymnasium.
With the win, WestConn improved to 1-1 overall and will play in the tournament championship game on Saturday afternoon .
Junior
Ashley Rilley (Orangeburg. N.Y.) paced the visitors with 12 points while rookie
Rosaleen Regan (Monroe, N.J) added in 11.
Rylie Harlow led the hosts with a game-high 17, while Jadelen Harold chipped in with 10.
WestConn played strong on the boards, finishing with a 42-28 advantage. The contest was close much of the way until the fourth quarter.

Gabrielle Franks (Madison, Conn.) ignited the barrage with a mid-range jumper for WestConn. The run continued throughout until senior
Katelyn Fanning (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y) rounded out the impressive spurt with a layup, setting the score at 62-47.
WestConn returns to action Saturday against host Curry College, which defeated Anna Maria, 73-66 in the nightcap.
