DANBURY, CONN. - Junior forward
Myah Croze (Bristol, Conn.) chipped in the game-winning goal with 2:46 remaining in the second overtime to lift the Western Connecticut State University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over visiting Castleton University at the Westside Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Croze leads the nation, among Division III players, with 16 goals on the season. She also leads the country with a stellar eight game-winning markers for WestConn, which improves to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the Little East Conference.Â

Suzana Imetovski (Seymour, Conn.) fed her on the left side of the box. It was the rookie's team-leading eight assist of the season.

Karly Martin (Bristol, Conn.) made five saves for the winners.
Alex Benfatti (Gloversville, N.Y.) made a dozen stops for the Spartans and was pelted with 29 shots from WestConn. The hosts finished with a 29-12 shot advantage, including a 10-1 bulge in the overtime periods.
Castleton is now 4-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
WestConn plays host to Worcester State University on Tuesday, October 5. Game time is set for 6 pm at The WAC.
The Spartans travel to Heniker, N.H. to take on New England College on Tuesday. Their meeting with the Pilgrims is set for 4 pm.
