Western Connecticut State University

The Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey program hired Matt Grogan as goaltending coach for the Wolves' inaugural season in 2025-26. A 2014 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Grogan was a standout goalkeeper for the Huskies. Before joining UConn, he played junior hockey in the AJHL and NAHL leagues.  Grogan also played four years professionally in the ECHL and SPHL leagues. He has coached at both the junior level (EHL and NAHL) and at Holy Cross University. Grogan is the founder and director of Prime Goaltending, which he established in 2018.
