    DANBURY, CT – Sophomore Kaleigh Panek (Shelton, CT) tallied two goals to lead the Western Connecticut State University women’s soccer squad to a 5-1 victory over visiting non-league foe John Jay College on Wednesday night at the Westside Athletic Complex. It marked the fifth straight win for the Colonials as they upped their record to 7-4-1, while the Bloodhounds fell to 5-5.

With the win, the Colonials improved 6-4-1 overall, while the Valiants plummeted to 4-5.

With the win, the Colonials improved to 3-4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Huskies dropped to 4-3 and 0-1.

Saint Vincent on Wednesday evening at Marillac Field.

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Western Connecticut State University women's soccer program was picked to once again claim the Little East Conference (LEC) title, claiming the top spot in the 2019 LEC Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Colonials totaled 61 points and six of the nine first-place votes.

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced the 12 newest members of its Hall of Fame Friday. Each of these outstanding former student-athletes and coaches will be honored on their respective campuses during the 2019-20 academic year.  Two former Western Connecticut State University great will be inducted this year.  Catherine "Cat" Nathans Cannavan (soccer) and Melissa Teel (basketball) are among 12 former student-athletes and coaches to receive this coveted LEC honor.
