DANBURY, Conn. — Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The third Wolves of the Week in the 2026-27 academic year for their stellar performances on the pitch are men's soccer junior forward
Nickolas Santana (New Haven, Conn.) and women's soccer senior goalkeeper
Gracen Regan (Monroe, N.J.)
Santana totaled three goals, two assists and eight points over four matches for the Wolves. The junior midfielder/forward scored once in a 2-2 draw against Worcester Polytechnic Institute before adding another goal in a 4-0 victory over Lehman College. Santana turned in his top performance of the week in WestConn's 4-0 LEC victory over Plymouth State University, recording a goal and two assists for a season-high four points. He scored the eventual game-winner in the 11th minute and finished the week with nine shots.
Regan recorded 15 saves while allowing just one goal over 180 minutes as WestConn went 1-0-1 on the road. The senior goalkeeper made 10 saves to earn a shutout in a scoreless draw at Farmingdale State College before adding five stops in a 2-1 victory at Plymouth State University. Regan finished the week with a 0.50 goals-against average, a .938 save percentage and one shutout.
