WestConn Women's Tennis Tabbed Fifth In Little East Pre-Season Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves were picked to finish fifth in the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Tennis 2026 Pre-Season Poll.  The defending champion Rhode Island College Anchorwomen received 59 points and five first-place votes to rank No. 1 in the 2026 LEC Women's Tennis Pre-Season Poll, while Bridgewater State had 57 votes and two for first place.  UMass Boston collected 53 points and two first-place votes, UMass Dartmouth had 45 points and the Wolves totaled 30 points to edge Southern Maine by four points for fifth place.  

WestConn, coached by Shawn Stillman (13th Season), finished 3-11 overall and finished eighth in the conference with a 1-7 record against league opponents last fall.  The Wolves open the 2026 fall season at home on Saturday, August 30.  WestConn's Little East will be at home on Saturday, September 12 against UMass Boston at 1 p.m. as part of Family Weekend on the WestConn campus.  The Wolves will be at home four games in a row before playing its first road game on Friday, September 18 at Bard.  WestConn's final home match of the 15-contest fall slate will be on Thursday, October 15 against Albertus Magnus and they will close the fall campaign on Saturday, October 17 at LEC rival UMass Dartmouth.
