WestConn Athletes Named To LEC Spring All-Academic Team And Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Western Connecticut State University spring athletic teams placed 51 Wolves on the Little East Conference (LEC) 2026 Spring All-Academic Team and 22 WestConn varsity programs combined to earn 21 LEC Spring Academic Honor Roll selections. To be selected to the Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year prior to the start of the competitive season.  The LEC announced a total of 2,611 student-athletes competing in the conference's 21 championship sports for the LEC Academic Honor Roll in recognition of their academic performance in the spring 2026 semester. To be named the LEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a semester GPA of 3.00 or better and have been an active member of the team at the conclusion of the season.

A total of 583 student-athletes were honored by the league and seven WestConn lacrosse players were were LEC Spring All-Academic honorees and also named to an LEC All-Conference Team.  Wolves senior Madison Ratchford (Ridge, N.Y.) was a LEC All-Academic, LEC All-Conference and chosen as the LEC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year and WestConn sophomore goalkeeper Jake Kelly (Bethpage, N.Y.) was LEC All-Academic, All-LEC and selected as the LEC Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Year. Men's Lacrosse graduate Michael Zapatka (Newington, Conn.), seniors Tyler Moeller (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and Owen Stark (Long Beach, N.Y.) and juniors James Krieg (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and Cody Suhr (Holbrook, N.Y.) and women's lacrosse graduate Vicky Gracy (Bethel, Conn.) and junior Isabella Pota (East Meadow, Mass.) were also named to the LEC Spring All-Academic Team and an LEC All-Conference Team.
