SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Western Connecticut State University women's tennis team dropped its final match of the season, 7-0, at Western New England University at Forest Park Tennis Courts on Tuesday. The Wolves dropped 4-15, while the Golden Bears improved to 4-15 overall.
WNEU nabbed the Doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 2, respectively, as the Wolves forfeited No. 3 Doubles. The home team swept in Singles, and the visitors had to forfeit at No. 5 and 6.
"Today's match marks the end of the ladies season. Definitely a rebuilding year but filled with many highlights," head coach Shawn Stillman said. "I'm very proud of their commitment and their growth. Congratulations to our seniors and graduates, Jessica and Aylina, we'll miss you!"
