PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Western Connecticut State University men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Manhattanville University on Thursday afternoon. The Wolves fell to 0-5, while the Valiants improved to 4-5.
At No. 3 Doubles,
Alex Maldonado (Danbury, Conn.) and
Henry Gsell (Bridgewater, Conn.) couldn't hold on to a 5-2 lead and let a five-match point opportunity slip away in an exciting partners' match. Maldonado had a close first set loss, 6-4, at No. 4 Singles, but dropped the second set 6-2.
WestConn remains on the road on Saturday to face Salem State University at 1 p.m.
