PROVIDENCE, R.I. - For the first time in program history, the Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey team was selected for a Little East Conference (LEC) Athlete of the Week award on Monday. Tyler Gobel (Lindon, N.J.) earned Rookie of the Week after netting the game-winner in the Wolves first-ever LEC win on Saturday.

The first-year delivered the game-winning goal in the 3-2 victory over New England College, he also assisted in a goal against the Pilgrims. Gobel aided in a goal in the close loss to Plymouth State University on Friday.
