Kate Robinson came back from a 6-0 setback in her first set at the No. 3 spot and led, 5-4, before suffering a 7-5 loss in the second set. At fifth singles, Hammond rallied back from a 6-2 defeat in the opening set to win by the same score in the second and took the tiebreaker, 10-6. WestConn played without its top singles player and doubles starter, senior
Erickah Tertulien (Norwalk, Conn.).
"We were the most ready to play today as we have been all season, and it showed," said WestConn Head Coach
