WestConn Athletes Named To LEC Spring All-Academic Team And Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE R.I. — The Western Connecticut State University fall athletic teams placed 53 Wolves on the Little East Conference (LEC) 2025 Spring All-Academic Team and all WestConn varsity programs combined to earn 202 LEC Spring Academic Honor Roll selections. To be selected to the Fall All-Academic Team. To be selected to the Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.  A total of 559 student-athletes were honored by the league and six WestConn athletes collected all-conference and all-academic honors this spring.  The LEC announced a total of 2,276 student-athletes competing in the conference's 21 championship sports for the LEC Academic Honor Roll in recognition of their academic performance in the fall 2024 semester. To be named the LEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a semester GPA of 3.00 or better and have been an active member of the team at the conclusion of the season.

WestConn men's lacrosse graduate students Jonathan Russack-Baker (Groton, Conn.) and Tyler Starrett (Redding, Conn.) softball junior Alexis Resto (Shelton, Conn.), women's lacrosse junior Madison Ratchford (Ridge, N.Y.), softball sophomore Kendall Allen (Naugatuck, Conn.), and baseball sophomore Ryan Vallie (East Haven, Conn.) were each named to both the Spring All-Academic Team and an LEC All-Conference Team. WestConn women's lacrosse junior Faye Jung (Centerport, N.Y.) graced both the All-Academic squad and received an LEC Sportsmanship award this spring.
