PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Western Connecticut State University men's basketball team has once again been picked second in the 2025 Little East Conference (LEC) Coaches Preseason Poll. The Wolves received one first-place vote and 53 total points, placing just behind Keene State, which earned the top spot. Led by Guy Rancourt for his seventh season, WestConn are coming off a 18-9 overall record and 13-3 mark in conference play during the 2024-25 campaign, and appeared in the LEC Championship Finals. The Wolves open the 2025-26 season at home in the William A. O'Neill Center against The College of Wooster on Sunday, November 9 at 1:00 p.m.

WestConn returns several key contributors for the upcoming season. Senior forward Nick Boyce (Jamaica, N.Y.) averaged 7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game last year, while senior guard Tayejon Lynch (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) contributed 8.4 points per game. Senior guard Jahlyl Morgan (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), sophomore guards Nicholas Moore (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Armaan Sandhu (Abbotsford, British Columbia), junior forward Quintin Chapman (Danbury, Conn.), and sophomore forward Marcel Henry (Yonkers, N.Y.) also return to provide experience and depth. The Wolves will also integrate several new players into the lineup this season, with a focus on building cohesion between returners and newcomers.
