    LACONIA, NH – Despite a hat trick and assist from rookie midfielder Jasmine Coleman (Northford, CT), the third-seeded Western Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team fell to second-seeded Southern Maine, 15-9, in the semifinal round of the Little East Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Colonials season came to end with a stellar 14-5 overall record, while the Huskies improved to 10-5 and advanced to the championship contest to be played at No. 1 Plymouth State on Sunday.

Junior attacker Brooke Baldelli (New Fairfield, CT) paced the Colonials with a game-high four goals and two assists, while senior middie Lauren Bradshaw (Bethel, CT) posted a scoring strike and dished out a game-high five helpers.

Senior Lauren Bradshaw (Bethel, CT) tallied four goals and four assists, while junior Brooke Baldelli (New Fairfield, CT) tickled the twine four times and passed out a trio of helpers for the Colonials. Senior Samantha Lawlor (Brookfield, CT) chipped in a hat trick and one assist.

Senior midfielder Lauren Bradshaw (Bethel, CT) paced the Colonials with seven points on three goals and four assists, while sophomore Caroline Galligan (Marshfield, MA) tallied four goals.
