  • Swimming and Diving Season Concludes At NEISDA Championships

    CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Western Connecticut State University men's and women's swimming and diving wrapped up the season at the four-day New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving championships.  On the men’s side 10 individual, four relay school records were re-established and two individual records, One relay school records were set for the first time, making a total of 17 records set.

    SPRINGFIELD, MA – Rookies David Lawrence (Newtown, CT) and Luke Forsberg (New Fairfield, CT) notched three wins each for the men, while classmate Molly Henry (Pound Ridge, NY) tallied a pair of second place showings for the women as the Western Connecticut State University swimming teams competed at Western New England University on Saturday. The Colonial men downed St. Joseph (Maine), 121-84, while the women split, upending St. Joseph, 136-98, then falling to Western New England, 157-97

    CASTINE, ME - The Western Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team split it tri-meet on Wednesday, defeating host Maine Maritime Academy, 107-55 and falling to Plymouth State University, 115-82 at Bok Pool. The Colonials' men's side fell to the Mariners, 92-81.

    MIDDLETOWN, CT – Rookie Drew Worden (Warren, CT) racked up a pair of second place showings to lead the Western Connecticut State University men’s swimming and diving squad to a fifth place finish at the Connecticut Cup hosted by Wesleyan University on Saturday. The women’s squad placed sixth as junior Rachel Peet (New Fairfield, CT) led the way, touching the wall in 6:09.04 in the 500-yard freestyle.

    BRONX, NY – The WestConn men and women’s swimming and diving squads split their matchup at Lehman College on Friday night. Junior Rachel Peet (New Fairfield, CT) paced the women with a pair of first place showings en route to a 119-48 victory. Rookie Luke Forsberg (New Fairfield, CT) led the men, capturing the top spot in three races as the men fell, 154-109.
