LANCASTER, PA - The Western Connecticut State University men's soccer team, fresh off its second-straight Little East Conference Tournament championship, will face host Franklin & Marshall, which earned an at-large bid, in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Tournament at Tylus Field on Saturday, November 10 at 5 pm. Eastern University (17-2-1) and Mary Washington (14-1-4) will follow on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with the winners of each battling in the Second Round on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
Tickets will cost $6 for adults and $3 for students with ID's and senior citizens and $2 children (3-12).
The Colonials are advancing to its second-consecutive NCAA Tournament after receiving a Pool A Automatic Qualifier with the Colonials' 2-1 OT win over Keene State College in the Little East Conference (LEC) Championship.
The Diplomats received one of 19 Pool C bids into the 62-team NCAA Field after finishing the 2018 season with a 13-3-3 overall record. F&M went 1-1 in the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament over the weekend, downing No.13 Johns Hopkins in the Semifinals before dropping a 3-2 2OT heartbreaker to Haverford in the Finals.
Eastern also claimed a Pool A bid with a 3-0 win over King's in Saturday's Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Championship. The Eagles last advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2016, making it to the Second Round where Eastern fell to Oneonta St. by a 2-1 2OT score.
Mary Washington claimed the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over St. Mary's (Md.) to garner a Pool A bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles earned a spot in the field for the second straight year and 11th time overall.
