    DANBURY, CT – Junior attackman Eric Caldwell (East Moriches, NY) tallied a game-high seven points on five goals and two assists to lead the Western Connecticut State University men’s lacrosse team to a 14-5 victory over visiting Salem State University in the Little East Conference opener for both squads on Saturday afternoon at the Westside Athletic Complex. With the win, the Colonials improved to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Vikings dropped to 1-4 and 0-1.

    DANBURY, CT – Junior midfielder Ryan Reuling (Groton, CT) tallied five goals and dished out five assists to lead the Western Connecticut State University men’s lacrosse team to a 21-14 non-league victory over visiting Cazenovia College on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Colonials improved to 5-3 overall while the Wildcats dropped to 0-2.

    DANBURY, CT – Despite two goals each from junior midfielder Ryan Reuling (Groton, CT) and rookie attackman Donald Schaumloffel (Wantagh, NY), the Western Connecticut State University men’s lacrosse squad fell to visiting non-conference foe the College of Wooster, 13-9, on Saturday afternoon at the Westside Athletic Complex. With the loss, the Colonials dropped to 4-3 overall, while the Fighting Scots improved to 1-5.

    DOVER, Del. – Senior midfielder Ryan Yursha (Brick, NJ) won 24-of-27 faceoff attempts, while rookie attackman Donald Schaumloffel (Wantagh, NY) tallied five goals and dished out three assists to lead the Western Connecticut State University men’s lacrosse team to an 18-7 victory at non-league opponent Wesley College on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Colonials improved to 4-2 overall, while the Wolverines dropped to 1-3.
  • Caldwell & Swensen Each Tally Four Goals but Men's Lacrosse Rally Comes Up Short at Merchant Marine, 14-12

    KINGS POINT, NY – Junior attackman Eric Caldwell (East Moriches, NY) and senior midfielder Robert Swensen (Danbury, CT) each netted four goals but it wasn’t enough as the Western Connecticut State University men’s lax squad was edged at non-conference foe Merchant Marine (USMMA), 14-12, on a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon at Brooks Stadium. The hosts jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Colonials rally began. They would tie the count at 10-10 in the final quarter before the comeback fell short.

With the win, the Colonials improved to 3-1 overall while the Monarchs dropped to 0-5.
